KRISTAL

interactive sonic sculpture
emitting enchanting light and harmonious sounds

« Music is liquid architecture; Architecture is frozen music.»

Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe
SONIC SCULPTURE: KRISTAL

The crystal-shaped sculpture has the ability of touch-free interactions with a person. The slightest movements around the sculpture generate and modulate the light and sound composition of the sculpture.

You are the conductor.
With the smooth movement of your hands you will revive the sculpture, and, upon waking up, it will respond with its crystal sounds, the melodic phrases.
You just need to come closer.

The real-time sensor system analyzes the space within the artifact; these real-time data are organized according to the Pythagorean principles and generate a harmonic structure in the form of the sequencing of the sound tone and its color equivalent, stimulating the synaesthetic sensations in the audience, which determines its healing qualities.

«Pleasantness of the Pythagorean intervals is defined by the greater economy of neural cost for their processing as compared to other melodic compounds.»

COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE

TECHNOLOGY

The sonic sculpture contains the most advanced technologies: AI, Smart LED, Artnet, generative graphics systems, tracking technology, various motion capture systems, generative sound systems, machine vision.

Crystal body is made of acrylic material with a light-spreading coating, inside is a vertical LED rod of two meters high.

The base, in the form of a tetrahedron made of polished metal, includes an interactive system with motion sensors and an acoustic system Bose.

Interactive software is developed on the basis of Open CV (open computer vision) - a technology for detecting, tracking and classifying objects. The technology of image sensors is associated with the processing of real-time video data, used to control sound and light, implemented by hardware or software.

«The purpose of art is not the release of a momentary ejection of adrenaline,
but rather the gradual, lifelong construction of a state of wonder and serenity.»
